Billing and subscriptions

Understand plan access

FretTrack uses a 14-day Pro trial plus Shop and Pro subscriptions for repair-shop business use.

Plan basics

  • The standard trial provides 14 days of Pro access, requires no card, and does not automatically convert.
  • Shop is $29.99 monthly or $299.99 yearly and covers the paid core repair workflow.
  • Pro is $39.99 monthly or $399.99 yearly and adds the premium workflows below.
  • Pro adds Advanced Reporting, Team Members, Photo Editor, Amplifier Repair, Keyboard Repair, Scheduled Email, Automated Service Reminders, and Loyalty.
  • Expired access preserves shop data but may block writes and paid features.

Dedicated AmpTrack and MidiTrack add-on modules are planned later with more specialized amplifier and keyboard workflows.

Where to view status

Use the Billing or Shop Settings plan area to review current plan, billing interval, status, trial end, renewal or access end date, countdown, and locked premium features.

Not currently included in either plan: SMS delivery, customer portals or public invoice/work-order links, automatic supplier ordering, carrier rate or label purchasing, predictive inventory forecasting, and multi-shop administration.

Planned inventory split: reorder levels, vendor lead times, low-stock warnings, and reviewable purchase suggestions will be available in Shop and Pro. Future demand, seasonal, and usage-trend forecasting will require Pro.

Who can manage billing

Billing and subscription controls are limited to shop owners and admins. Use Billing to open secure Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Billing Portal. Technicians and viewers cannot manage billing.

When access expires

Expired trial or subscription states should preserve customers, jobs, photos, inventory, and staff records. The app may allow safe viewing while blocking new writes until access is restored.

Annual savings

Shop yearly saves $59.89 and Pro yearly saves $79.89 compared with twelve monthly payments. Prices are USD. Applicable taxes, if any, are determined from billing details and shown at Checkout.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel anytime through the Billing Portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. The first annual subscription purchase has a 14-day refund window. Monthly payments and renewals are non-refundable except for billing errors or when required by law.

Work-order tax settings

Tax calculation is disabled by default. A shop owner or admin can enable manual shop-configured tax, choose the jurisdiction and taxable categories, and enter the shop's own rate and registration reference. FretTrack versions those defaults and preserves the applied profile in sent estimates and finalized invoices.

Enable it: open Shop Settings → Tax / VAT, change Tax calculation to Enabled — use the shop rate below, enter the jurisdiction and rate, select the taxable categories, and save. Parts & Billing provides a direct shortcut when tax is off. For an existing work order with an older disabled snapshot, return to Parts & Billing and choose Apply Shop Tax/VAT.

For discounts, first choose Percentage (%) or Fixed amount, then enter the amount. The total updates immediately and is retained when the work order is saved.

FretTrack does not determine whether a shop must register or collect, which rate or exemption applies, or how to file and remit tax. Confirm those obligations with a qualified tax professional before enabling collection.

Renewal and seller information

Annual subscriptions receive a renewal notice approximately 30 days before renewal. Keep the shop billing email current. FretTrack is operated by Jeffrey Russell d/b/a Torrance Guitar Repair and is offered for business use.

What the Pro automation features do

Scheduled Email handles a specific transactional job message up to 30 days ahead. Automated Service Reminders use separate customer consent and a shop-configured long-horizon follow-up rule after completed recurring service. Loyalty tracks qualifying paid/completed work-order stamps and explicit staff redemptions; it does not automatically discount an invoice or create store credit.
