Scheduling

Plan shop time

Scheduling keeps intake appointments, pickups, due dates, follow-ups, shop blocks, and repair reminders close to the jobs they support.

Common event types

  • Intake for drop-offs or evaluations.
  • Pickup for completed work.
  • Due for promised completion dates.
  • Follow-up for approvals, parts, estimates, or customer calls.
  • Shop Block for unavailable time.

Create an event

  1. Open Scheduling.
  2. Choose the date and time or mark the event all-day.
  3. Select an event type.
  4. Add a clear title and notes.
  5. Connect the event to a job when possible.
  6. Save the event.

Promise dates vs events

A Promise Date is the expected ready date on the job. A schedule event is a calendar item. Use both when the job needs a visible calendar reminder.

Daily use

Review upcoming events at the start of the day. Mark completed or cancelled events clearly so the schedule stays useful for everyone in the shop.
